RIA is kicking off a series of meetup events for the local Estonian cybersecurity community where we can discuss the threat landscape, upcoming initiatives and projects and find like-minded cybersecurity enthusiasts to grab a drink with. And we’re doing this one in English to make it more accessible to our friends and colleagues who haven’t gotten the local language down yet.
Come join us on Tuesday, March 21st at the Palo Alto co-working space at Telliskivi from 18 to 19, after which everyone can find their favorite around the area to continue cyber... um… networking. The agenda will always feature RIA’s assessment of the cyber threat landscape, information about RIA’s upcoming initiatives for the community and a talk from someone who actually practices cybersecurity.
So the first RIA CyberMeet will look like this:
- Doors at 17:45
- 18 Kickoff and opening words (Why are we doing this?) from host Lauri Tankler, head of R&D coordination at RIA
- 18:10 Threat landscape overview by Märt Hiietamm, head of analysis and prevention at RIA
- 18:25 Locked Shields are coming to town (again) by Carry Kangur, head of exercises at NATO CCDCOE
- 18:45 How to participate in RIA’s CyberTransformation support measure (and what is RIA’s CyberTransformation support measure) by Lauri
- 19 Snacks and networking
From 18-19 the stage at the meetup will be livestreamed to Facebook live.

So come join us if you work in cybersecurity or wish to work in cybersecurity. Come by if you study, research or teach cybersecurity. Whether you are an experienced hacker or someone building a cybersecurity startup, we invite you to participate. This is a great chance to meet and ask questions from RIA. And we have snacks.
The event is co-financed by the European Union and the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre.
