Please join us at the Palo Alto Club on Thursday, January 25th for the first CyberMeetUp of 2024. Everyone who considers themselves part of the cybersecurity community is welcome to our monthly meetup event. Let it be an excuse to come out and see your friends, colleagues and competitors if you haven’t seen them this year yet.
This time we welcome three speakers:
- Tanel Sepp, the Ambassador at Large for Cyber Diplomacy will give a short introduction to the Tallinn Mechanism which was publicly announced at the end of December. Within the framework of the Tallinn Mechanism, assistance to Ukraine will be coordinated to support and strengthen national cybersecurity and cyber resilience, protect Ukraine's critical infrastructure, and prevent Russian cyber operations.
- Edgars Milgravis, the Head of Business for the Baltics at Palo Alto Networks (what a coincidence with the name of the venue, huh?) shares insights about the Threat Landscape: what the Palo Alto Networks saw in 2023 and what do they predict for 2024.
- Vjatseslav Antipenko, research fellow at the Tartu University will share experiences from leading IoT projects and how they connect to current work in cybersecurity research. The talk will highlight the practical challenges and solutions in merging technology and security, emphasising the need for interdisciplinary expertise.
The program starts at 18, will be in English and the whole program will be streamed online through Facebook Live and Youtube. After the program is over, feel free to stay, have a drink, a snack, and a conversation with your peers.
