RIA CyberMeetUp May 15th 2025
On May 15th, starting at 18:00, we invite you to the RIA CyberMeetUp, taking place in our usual place – Palo Alto Club (Telliskivi 57, Tallinn). We shall discuss recent events, share news and experiences within the community and see each other face to face!
This time, we will focus on innovation in cybersecurity companies. Representatives from research institutions will take the stage to share their insights — their work, development of emerging technologies, and participation in various projects are all rooted in a science-based approach. What exactly this means and what are the possibilities to collaborate with research institutions for Estonian cybersecurity companies, will be discussed on May 15th.
List of speakers (18:00-19:00):
- Anni Aleksandrov (Expert-Coordinator, RIA) – Accelerate Your Cybersecurity Solutions with RIA Innovation Funding
- Heisi Kurig, PhD (Head of Institute of Computer Science, University of Tartu) – Collaboration with Universities as a Catalyst for Innovation in the Cyber Domain
- Dan Bogdanov (Chief Scientific Officer, Cybernetica) – Would you like to be known for how secure your product is?
- Prof. Dr. Matthias Mehrtens (Program Director | Cyber Security Management, Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences) – Changing AI Security Paradigm
- Katarína Galanská (Researcher, Masaryk University) & Maria Pibilota Murumaa (Cyber Security Engineer, Cybernetica) – Usability of Penetration Testing Reports
The first part of the event will be livestreamed via RIA’s YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook channels.
From 19:00 onward we will continue with the informal part – networking and refreshments. If you are attending in-person, please RSVP via social media
This event is co-funded by the European Union and the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre.
